This post sent me on a deep dive into some 40k wiki stuff for an hour tonight. Thanks for that. I apparently didn’t know much of anything about the “early” history stuff like the Men of Iron and such.

Hmm, I’ve played Hero Quest, but never any 40k stuff, not even the PC games I’ve ended up with (Space Marine, Kill Team, and Dawn of War II).
